Boat Recovered In Mexico
IMC
Investigator Richard Hagen was able to locate
the vessel weeks after the marine theft. With
International Maritime Consultants
contacts we were able to track and locate the
vessel before being shipped to another country.
The 55 foot Sedan Bridge Sea Ray, valued at
$800,000, was taken from Marina Del Mar on October
13th. Called the “Cynthia Marie”, it belonged
to a man from Miami Beach. He said he brought
the boat to the keys and left it at the marina
intending to return later in the week with his
family for a weekend stay.
IMC was able to locate the vessel in Mexico
where it was being re-painted and vessel hull
numbers being changed. The case led to a marina
where the vessel was pulled out of the water
and dry docked where the work was being done
by locals. Day 1 we were able to visual see
the vessel being re-painted a completely different
color. Day 2 IMC was able to video tape and
capture subject working on changing the hull
numbers. Day 3 IMC was able
to secure a complain affidavit from the Mexico
Federal State Attorney office to seize the vessel.
IMC worked closely with State
Attorney and Mexico Navy personal.
With the help of State personal we were able
to recover the vessel before leaving the country.
